Hey, What's Up? Welcome

We're A to Z Family Business, we're a local contractor in the Philadelphia area.  We're a little different, little unique and we most of all love to have some fun.  These URL's and this website was created to have a bit of fun, share our stories and we all get a good laugh.  We're never trying to make fun of anyone or make anyone feel uncomfortable.  Please let us know so we can make things right if that's the case.

Have FUN!!!

It's really unfortunate but the amount of horror stories from people is overwhelming and we just hear about them in the Philadelphia area.  We would love to hear your horror stories, the more we can do ensure others do not have the same horror story as you the better.  Many contractors once one of their companies has too much negative publicity will just start a new company, they do this often but typically will always use their legal name as part of the company, names are sometimes more important to know than company name.

This is a story from someone us that I am selfishly stealing that I heard. A homeowner hired a pool company to install a new inground salt pool, put up a new vinyl fence, change irrigation and water management in back yard and build a deck. They did a great job with the pool, water management and the fence but they had never installed decks in the past and thought it was a good add on. They showed up to install the deck with somepeople that seemed like they were from the Home Depot parking lot and dropped the materials and the manager left and allowed the employees to build the deck with very little direction. The deck was not built right, inspection was scheduled for "rough in" and it failed. They had to come back and tear it down completely and rebuild the entire frame and the footers. It passed inspection but the inspector suggested to homeowner to find a new company. The homeowner called around to around 7-8 companies and scheduled estimates with them, one company showed up to give an estimate (A to Z Family Business) and the customer accepted. The deck needed stairs built, boards installed and railings installed. The below pictures show what it looked like when A to Z arrived and when A to Z was done. Customer was beyond happy, luckily they did not pay 100% upfront on the deck and were able to afford to have someone else finish the rest which most are not that lucky.

My husband cannot do drywall work in our home to save his life, it's absolutely horrible when he does it. He does a lot of other things thrhoughout the home which is great but we hire a professional whenever we need any drywall in our home. I cannot find any pictures of work he did do, just things we have paid others to do.

Recently my oldest daughter clogged the toilet in our hall bath with some things that should not have gone down the toilet. I decided that she needed to learn a valuable lesson and taught her how to use a plunger, as she was plunging the stuff in the toilet started to splash up in her face which was the ultimate learning experience in my opinion for her. She did eventually get the toilet unclogged and hopefully she has learned not to flush things down the toilet that do not belong in the toilet.

It's not just work around the home that the wife fixes, they fix it all.  Let's be really honest, most husbands would not look as good as they currently may look if it was not for the amazing wife next to them.

I do not know if I would call this fixing but I installed a organizer system in our hallway closet to allow us to store more coats and have a lower hanging area for our youngest child to hang her own coats up. I removed everything from the closet, cleaned up the walls and spackled holes from the old system that was in there previously and installed a new rack system in the closet. I tested everything and then put everything back into the closet nicely hanging up all the coats and organizing everything. The next day and what seems to have lasted for over a week my wife removed everything, respackled the holes in the closet and touched up painting (I did not touch up painting) and re organized everything in the closet which took approx 4-5 days with having all the coats and other items all over our dining room during this process. Did she fix it?????
